We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with The African Languages Lab (All Lab). This collaboration will be a cornerstone of Program Engage Africa’s mission to contribute to promoting digital inclusivity for low-resourced African languages, including Ghɔmálá’ and other Cameroonian languages as they are added, through NLP and AI.
What’s Happening:
In this partnership, All Lab will focus on the crucial aspects of technical and research dimensions, leveraging their AI expertise to build models and solutions. Localizzz Africa will handle strategy, gamification, professional linguistic services, app/software development, and model iterations, bringing to the table data collection and validation platforms and processes, and NLP skills.
Why It Matters:
By combining our NLP skills and our data collection and validation resources with All Lab’s technical and research acumen, we will be able to contribute more efficiently to technological innovation in support of African languages. This synergy can help create inclusive, effective, and culturally sensitive technology solutions that respect and amplify the richness of African linguistic heritage.
